Hey guys..

Lis and I thought we would send a little update with what we’ve been up to the past couple of weeks. Things might seem quiet, but the past few weeks we’ve been shacked up making a lot of noise in Brisbane with Jungle George, writing and recording for our third record. We’ve been experimenting with a lot of different sounds for this next record – citing influences from The Subways, The Dead Weather, Mazzy Star, Ladytron and Peaches. We’ve also been doing some writing collaborations as well with Erinn and Matt from Streamer Bendy, and also the amazinng Suzi Quatro (yes that’s right). Also, we’ve been relaxing a fair bit, before we head back to the UK next week for the big Xmas show in London. We’re going to do a video blog while we are in London to say hiii to you cute kids out in Youtube world! (when I say kids.. I don’t actually mean kids.. I even call my older friends kids..ha.) Welllll I’m off to meet up with Jungle and some mates to see a gig! So I’ll speak soon <3 Keep on loving

After much anticipation, Jess finally posted a picture for us of her new hair! What do you guys think? I love it! She looks beautiful with any hair color, but a change every once in awhile is nice!

Hey everyone! I hope all of the Americans had a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Here is some more news to get us stoked for the next album. Jess posted a couple of lines from a new song they are working on.

Lyrics new song recorded: “…..if you think I won’t be denying everything that you’re lying..well Im here to take a shit on your fun. Do you really think that Im not gonna take you down….?”

I don’t know about you all, but I can’t wait to hear what all of this new music sounds like!

Hey everyone! As you all know, the Veronicas are staying out of the spotlight these days and are working on music and demos for their next album! It’s so exciting to know that soon we will have new music from our favorite girls!

So, since I have no new stuff to post, I’ll leave you with an old video of the Veronicas performing “Everything I’m Not” at the ARIA Awards in 2006. This has always been one of my favorites!

The Spider-Man musical has found its Peter Parker. After an extended search which included a series of nationwide open auditions, the coveted lead has been awarded to one of the contenders we recently profiled here on IGN.

Reeve Carney, frontman of the rock band which bears his last name, will play Peter Parker in the upcoming Broadway adaptation of the beloved superhero comic.

Carney’s band dropped a respectable rock single called “Love Me Chase Me” last summer, and has been touring with G’ovt Mule and the Veronicas. A quick listen to the band should assure most fans that he’s got the vocals to handle the songs written by U2 members Bono and The Edge.

As an actor, Carney recently worked with Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark director Julie Taymor on her upcoming adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Tempest which is due to hit movie theaters in 2010. Beyond that, Carney earned critical acclaim as a child actor in the film Snow Falling on Cedars — he was nominated in the 2000 Young Artists Awards and won “Best Performance in a Feature Film.” He hasn’t done much else acting-wise, but Taymor clearly saw something she liked.
